Anna B. Crump, age 91, of Glenaire, Missouri passed away on Friday September 28, 2018. Anna was born March 1, 1927 in Gerster, Missouri to parents Elbert Dale and Dimple Cauthon. She was a member of the 1945 graduating class of Nelson High School in Nelson, Missouri. After graduation, Anna attended Teachers College in Warrensburg, Missouri. She went on to teach in a two-room school house in Osceola, Missouri for three years. Anna left the teaching industry, moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and went to work for Sears-Roebuck. She worked a long career as a Buyer's Clerk with Sears and retired in 1989. In retirement, she volunteered with Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was also a proud member of the Eagles.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Alec L. Locker; and Carl Crump; one brother, Ray Cauthon; and two sisters, Ramona Platter and Juanita Thomas. She is survived by one son, Gary (Lori) Locker; one stepson, Carl Ray (Terri) Crump; three grandchildren, Paul (Sabastian) Locker, Stephanie Locker, Greg (Nate) Locker; three sisters, Bernita Schnetzer, Clara Lee, and Linda Nickles; and one brother, Donald Cauthon. A graveside service will be conducted at Glenridge Cemetery on B Highway in Liberty, Missouri, at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 5, 2018. A visitation will be held the night before, Thursday, October 4, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri 64068. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Anna's memory to the VFW or the DAV.
