Surviving include brothers Maxie (Betty) and Larry Fisher, nephews Peter, Michael (Erin), and Jeffrey (Chrissy). Billy was great uncle to Zachary, Katie (Jordan), Miles, Chase (Sarah), Blake, Andrew, Hannah, Abigail, and Isabella Fisher.
Billy was a lifelong member at West Side Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC. Billy attended faithfully going to church every Sunday until he could no longer attend.
Billy loved God, his country and his family. As well as attending church regularly, he loved to go to air shows or visit memorials honoring the heroes who provided the freedoms we enjoy. Uncle Bill loved sports and was the #1 fan of his nieces and nephews.
Bill was a diligent worker when given a task like shucking corn, Bill’s favorite food. He worked industriously in the family business for a number of years.
There are numerous people that the family would like to thank who loved and cared for Billy. Bill’s late mom and sister-in -law, Sarah Louise Fisher and Frances Fudge Fisher. In the later years of Billy’s life, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Pearson and their co-workers at the Babcock Center.
The funeral service for Billy will be held at two o’clock, Monday August 31st, at West Side Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC with a private graveside service to follow. The family will greet friends prior to the funeral service beginning at one o’clock. The pallbearers will be Zachary Fisher, Miles Fisher, Chase Fisher, Blake Fisher, Andrew Fisher, and Evan Timmerman.
