Ruby Smith, 94, of Lexington passed into the arms of the Lord on November 30, 2021 at Oakleaf Village. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Bouye and Loney Keisler Bouye. She was retired from Richland County School District One. Ruby was owner of Ruby’s Beauty Shop and was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Steve (Betsy) Smith; daughter, Linda (Rick) Cliett; grandchildren, Eronn (Bobby), Eric (Heather), Joshua (Tammy), Daniel (Aghtan), Jessica (Nick); great grandchildren, Wesley, Watson, Walker, Chloe, Turner, Layton, Gabrielle, Sabien, Tabatha, Dalton, Greyson and Dylan.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Lester-Buck Smith; her infant daughter; two brothers, Felder and Homer Bouye; two sisters, Leola Smith and Jane Roland and foster brother, Roscoe Dooly (Lib).
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Red Bank United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
