Robert E. Dillon

He graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in 1980 where he played soccer for many years as a B.C. Bearcat. Robbie was a member of Northside Baptist Church from the time he was born. When he became a father, he dedicated his own children into the church where they attended into adulthood with their children and families.

He had such a passion for the outdoors. Without hesitation, any chance he got he would load up his boat and take his family to the water. They would spend many weekends camping and grilling. Robbie tried his hardest to teach all three children how to water ski. Cody and Nicole picked it up with ease; however, Michelle seemed to have gravity against her!

And what a fisherman he was. Fishing was Robbie's love. He passed that passion on to his daughter Michelle, which some would say that turned into "healthy competition" between the two.

Between October and January, when Robbie wasn’t on the water, you better believe you would find him in a tree stand somewhere. Fishing and hunting are just the Dillon way.

"Behold, I am sending for many fishers, declares the Lord, and they shall catch them. And afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks." Acts 10:13

Robbie is survived by his parents Jimmy and Jane Dillon; the love of his life, Tammy Zeagler Dillon; his children, Nicole Dillon Rusinyak, Gena Michelle Gillespie (Garron), and Robert Cody Dillon; his eight grandchildren Noah, Cameran, Kaitlyn, Farrah, Payton, Cora, Mason and Brynlee.

He also leaves behind his siblings Jimmy Dillon Jr. (Tina), Karen Brawley (Bennie), and Becky Dillon, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends that love him and the Dillon family.

Robbie's memorial service will be held on Thursday June 30 at 2:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
