Pat was born in Blackville, SC in 1941 to Henry Lloyd and Theo Elizabeth Bodiford, and moved to Columbia as a young child. She attended Columbia High School and graduated in 1960 before getting married to George ‘Buddy’ Reeder in July of the same year. She played piano for Sunday church services at Rosewood Baptist Church during and after high school. After graduating high school, she was employed as a legal secretary for a local attorney and studied for 1 year at the University of South Carolina. She remained employed until 1974 when she became a homemaker. Pat spent many years as member of her children’s school PTOs, and devoting her time to her local church. She also spent time volunteering at Baptist Hospital and the South Carolina Oncology Associates caring for patients once a week for 30+ years.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, George Reeder, her brother, Clifton Bodiford, and her parents, Henry and Theo Bodiford, and is survived by her three children, Laurie Beasley, Lisa Wilson and Craig Reeder, and her six grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 21st, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington at 503 N Lake Dr, Lexington, SC 29072, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am and a graveside service at Woodridge Cemetery.
