Louise P. Smith

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Louise P. Smith, 72, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born December 29, 1943 in Columbia, SC and passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Charlton Clifton Price and Bertha Spires Price. Louise was a Charter member of Round Hill Baptist Church where she served as Church Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher. She graduated Brookland Cayce High School and Midlands Tech. She enjoyed sewing and she loved caring for her grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her husband, James Garrison Smith, Jr.; daughter, Shannon Smith; son, James Garrison Smith, III; and her grandchildren, Zachary, Claire, and Olivia Smith. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Muriel Floyd and Marian Jordon. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Martin and Margaret Smith.
