She was born in Lewiston on August 9, 1941, the oldest of two children born to the late Charles and Yvonne (Fortier) Couillard. Suzanne was raised and educated in Lewiston and Auburn. On February 1, 1964 she married William J Fisher and together raised their 3 children in Lewiston. She had a love for life, family, cooking, reading, needle work, dancing, traveling, and camping; where many family memories were created. She especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings, spending time with her grandchildren and working in part to produce and perform in shows put on by the campground. She was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She will be fondly remembered for her signature smile, kind heart and fun, loving nature. Her love of performing spilled into all aspects of her life. She loved to look at events in life as an “adventure”. No matter how big or small her family could always count on her to make the most of each moment.
She is survived by her children; Jennifer Greener, Robert Fisher and wife Linda, Stephanie Fisher and husband David Roberts; 5 grandchildren; Hannah Chapman, Emily McConnell, Savanna Pierce, Abigail Fisher and Lucas Fisher; 4 great-grandchildren; Chloe, Riley and Carlotta Chapman and Penelope McConnell, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William, of 51 years, in December 2015 and sister and friend Jeannine Roy in October 2012.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to D’Youville Pavilion and Androscoggin Home Hospice for the care they provided to Sue and her family.
