He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on August 15, 1937 the son of Antonio C. and Simone D. (Boucher) St. Jean.
Paul attended St. Joseph’s School for Boys in Lowell for grades 2 through 8 after which he went on to Lowell High School from which he graduated in 1955.
He had an honorable discharge from the Navy Reserve in January of 1963.
Upon graduating from high school, Paul went to work for the Uniform Printing & Supply Division of the Courier-Citizen Co. working his way up through the ranks from Inventory Control Clerk to Plant Manager in facilities located in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Georgia on a career path that spanned 17 years. While in Georgia and Pennsylvania he took evening courses in Business Management at Gainesville, GA Junior College and Lehigh Valley Community College, respectively. He then went on to spend 28 years in the Construction Industry as an Asphalt Paving Estimator, a career he often referred to as getting paid for having fun. He retired in 2017.
Paul enjoyed watching Pro football and hockey on TV. He loved his New England Patriots and Philadelphia Flyers. He also had a soft spot in his heart for the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, remnants of his days in Georgia and Pennsylvania. He also enjoyed horse racing and had many pleasant Saturday outings to Rockingham Park and Suffolk Downs in his younger days.
He had a quick wit and enjoyed a good joke, even when he was the butt of the joke. He had no problem laughing at himself. He loved most people and enjoyed his family in particular. His five daughters and one son were the joys of his life. He took great pleasure in having lived long enough to see them grow into adulthood and becoming successful and productive human beings.
Paul loved animals and almost always had at least two cats as part of the family. Among his favorites were Mole Man, Boxer, Otis, Milo and Otto.
