1956-2022
Paul Eugene Chabot, 66, passed away peacefully at his home on June 14, 2022. He was the husband of Lou Ann Chabot. He was born in Lewiston on March 12th, 1956, the son of Roland and Adrienne (Marcoux) Chabot. He grew up in Lewiston until the age of 5, then moved to New Jersey in 1961. He then moved to Illinois in 1966, where he attended school in Hazelcrest, IL, and later attended Serena Hills grade school in Chicago Heights. He graduated from Homewood -Flossmoor High School as a junior in 1974 and continued his education at Drake University in Iowa. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in accounting in 1978. On April 22nd, 1989, he married the love of his life Lou Ann Chabot. He moved back to Maine in June 2000 with his family.
Paul was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, history lover, stamp collector, a book lover as well as learned to play the piano. He loved God, and was always willing to see the best in others. No matter who was in need, He would always show Christ’s love through willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife Lou Ann Chabot, and their 3 children Danielle Hildebrandt (Erik) of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Roland Chabot of Lewiston, and Rebecca Prescott (James) of Greene. He is also survived by his sisters Claudette Lynch (late Don) of Lewiston, Sandra Baumgartner (David) of Des Plaines, Illinois, and Roland W.(Jolie) of Ocala, Florida. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Ashleigh, Seth & Zach, as well as numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Androscoggin Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful care Paul received within his last days. They also wish to thank United Ambulance for the many years of transporting Paul back and forth to appointments. They also wish to thank the church family of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church for all their help. We can never truly thank everyone who reflected Christ’s love to us in caring for our father.
Paul's Visitation & Service will take place July 9, 2022 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 62 Strawberry Avenue Lewiston, Maine from 9:00am -10:45am with a service beginning at 11:00am
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomas Memorial Baptist Church or United Ambulance both of Lewiston.
