William Luther Snyder died at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. He was 97. Born in Hazleton, PA, Mr. Snyder was an original homeowner in Levittown. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where he was also a member of the Church Bowling League and volunteerd at Bingo. Mr. Snyder was employed with the Jeddo Supply Company and then went on to work at USX Fairless Works until his retirement in 1983. He was a an auxiliary member of Levittown Fire Company #2 and enjoyed the anticipation of winning cash prizes from Scratch Off Lottery tickets. Beloved husband of 66 years to Helen (Midlick), Mr. Snyder is the loving father of Rebecca Zadnik (John Richard) and Elsie Snyder of Levittown. He is the devoted grandfather of John Zadnik, Jr. (Bronagh). Mr. Snyder will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Panchida Service will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Levittown. The Rite of Committal will be held in Resurrection Cemetery.
