Virginia M. Rankin Virginia M. Rankin died on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Aria Health Frankford Campus. She was 87. Born in Vandergrift, PA, Mrs. Rankin was a long time resident of Yardley prior to moving to Fairless Hills 5 years ago. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Falls Township Senior Center and the Washington Crossing D.A.R. Mrs. Rankin was a secretary for Walt Disney Elementary School for over 10 years, retiring in 1973. She enjoyed sewing, baking and crossword puzzles, however, her greatest enjoyment was found in spoiling her grandchildren. Beloved wife of 64 years to Thomas M., Mrs. Rankin is the loving mother of Linda S. Riegel, William B. Rankin (Nancy) and Thomas J. Rankin (Daria). She was the devoted grandmother of Diane, Stephanie, Vicki, Danielle, Sean and Nicholas and the very proud great grandmother of Alexander and Alissa. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, John Risher (Liz) and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 9:30 am until 10:00 am at the Northminster Presbyterian Church, 140 Trenton Road, Fairless Hills, where her Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church at the above address.
