Sheelagh was born in 1934 in Liverpool, England to parents, Daniel and Kathleen Killeen. She went on to establish a career as a nurse, working for Lourdes Hospital in New Jersey for over 30 years.
Sheelagh enjoyed going to church and the flame, and she also liked to travel back home to England and going on retreats with the church. Her favorite thing was spending time with her sisters Norah and Molly. She loved watching the britbox, and her favorite show was Vera and Doc Martin.
Sheelagh was preceded in death by her loving husband, James McCullen, and beloved son, James McCullen Jr.
Sheelagh is survived by her daughter, Catherine McCullen, her adoring grandsons Daniel Eichelberger and Michael Eichelberger, her wonderful sisters Norah and Molly, and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial mass for Sheelagh will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. A private inurnment will occur at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
Memorial contributions in Sheelagh McCullen's name may be made to Queen of the Universe Parish.
