Scott Alan Fontana

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Alan Fontana on November 15, 2024, at the age of 49. Scott was born on October 13, 1975 to Alan and Barbara Fontana. He was greeted at the Golden Gates by his dad, Alan, his grandparents John and Catherine Berg and Charles and June Fontana, Great Grandparents, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Berg Fontana and “bonus” dad Les Cubberly, his sisters Lauren Lear and Melissa Genevie, his brothers-in-law Wayne Lear and Jim Genevie, his nieces Catherine and Zoe, his nephews Ryan and Luke, his “bonus” sister Jennifer Cook and her husband Bill Cook, and his “bonus” nephew David Robertiello.

Scott enjoyed his childhood growing up in Levittown. He was a typical 80’s kid taking roller skating lessons at Roller-Rama, playing baseball at Levittown American, and joined the cub scouts and boy scouts. He and his sisters also started racing quarter midget race cars at Oaklane Race Club in Quakertown, PA. This fueled his love of racing from local dirt tracks to NASCAR. He and his dad would have an annual trip to watch the Daytona 500 together. He also loved watching Penn State football games, the Phillies, and the Eagles.

Scott had a love of music, especially The Grateful Dead and Dave Matthews Band. He loved hanging out with his friends and would frequently go to concerts to watch local cover bands or big name concerts. When he wasn’t with his friends, he loved spending time with his family and supporting his nieces and nephews with whatever adventures and sporting events were happening.

Scott graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1994. He held various jobs, but then settled down as the deli manager at Giant grocery stores at various locations. More recently he worked at Rhein and Sons Sunoco in Fairless Hills.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Scott on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm.

Formal wear is not necessary. Please feel free to wear your favorite tie dye, Philly sports, Penn State or NASCAR attire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hemophilia Federation of America, CHOP Cleft Lip and Palate Program, Smile Train, or the charity of your choice.

Lastly, his nieces and nephews Catherine, Zoe, Ryan and Luke want to say: We love you Uncle Scott – PEACE OUT BOY SCOUT!!
