Rose Esther Klingerman Rose Esther (Kish) Klingerman passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary Medical Center after suffering a massive stroke. Rose was an original Levittown homeowner living in the Oaktree section of Bristol Township for over sixty years. Most recently Rose resided at Crestview Center in Langhorne. Rose was one of seven children born to Lewis and Julia (Molnar) Kish and grew up in a small coal company town in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She graduated from Sheppton High School (now East Union Twp High School) in 1944. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Margaret De Francisco, Louis Kish, Alex Kish, Steven Kish, and Joan Grohol. She is survived by her husband William Edward Klingerman, to whom she was married for almost sixty-seven years. Additional survivors are her children William (Karen Nina), Robert (Judith), and Barry (Carole) and her six grandchildren: Bryan (Jill); Candice (Steven Kress); Brad (Stacy); Robert; Matthew; and Patrick. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Layla (Jill and Bryan) and anticipated the arrival of her second great-granddaughter in August (Candice and Steve). Rose's brother Robert and her sister-in law Lorraine Kish also survive her. Rose's family as well as her many nieces, nephews, and cousins will always remember Rose as a wonderful cook and baker who opened her home and her kitchen to all. Her recipes are some of her family's keepsakes. Rose was happiest whenever she was hosting family get-togethers which consisted of great food and lively card games. During her husband's retirement years Rose enjoyed traveling throughout the United States visiting family and friends and spending time catching and eating crabs at the Jersey shore. She also liked to try her luck at casinos and was always thrilled when she could be the first to shout "Bingo!" at Crestview. Rose was a member of Emmaus Road Lutheran Church and appreciated Dianne Dampman's many visits to Crestview. Rose's family would like to thank the staff at Crestview Center and St. Mary Medical Center for their special care of Rose in her times of need. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Emmaus Road Lutheran Church, 2185 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057 where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Burial will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Road Lutheran Church at the above address.
