Robert J. Malec Jr. of Fairless Hills died on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Aria Hospital Bucks County. He was 51. Born in Bristol, Robert was a life long resident of Fairless Hills and graduated from Pennsbury High School. An avid football fan, he especially loved the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates as well. Robert loved gardening and was very proud of his gardens every summer. He enjoyed spending time at the casinos and the race track. He also liked to target practice at the gun range and tinker around his house. Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Dorothy A. (Stefanko) Malec. He was the loving brother of Laurel Malec-Wachinski (Joseph Jr.) and Karen Dunkerley. He was the devoted uncle of Douglas Dunkerley Jr. (Allison), Kenneth Dunkerley, Holly Malec and Kimberly Malec and the great uncle of Laurel Marie, Autumn, Leyna, Emma and Harper. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Humane Society of Bucks County, 3839 Richlieu Road, PO Box 1470, Bensalem, PA 19020 or the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
