Patricia Erb

Patricia "Pat" Erb (Smith) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2019, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her most prized possession, her loving family. She was 84. Pat was born and raised in the Germantown Section of Philadelphia to the late Thomas and Margaret Smith, and graduated from Little Flower High School. She was the devoted wife of the late Leonard Erb, whom she met while attending a high school dance, and shared 34 years of loving marriage before his passing. Pat and Len originally resided in Philadelphia before moving to Levittown, as original homeowners, and had eight children.

She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Michael the Archangel Church. Pat was a supervisor for Ethan Allen for many years before she retired at the age of 65. She thoroughly enjoyed her vacation travels along with her many shore and Pocono trips and was an avid reader.

Pat was the matriarch of the family. Nana loved spending time with her family hosting events, especially Christmas Eve in which she hung a stocking for every child, spouse, grandchild and great grandchild. Being surrounded by her family was what she cherished most, and nothing brought more sparkle to her eye than seeing her grandchildren and holding her great grandchildren. Nana even got to hold the newest addition to the family Christmas Eve.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard, her life friend Dick Smith, brothers Thomas and Michael Smith and grandson Tommy Erb.

She was greatly loved by her family and will be sadly missed by her children Steve (Beth), Bob (Nadia), Tom (Jill), Dave (Laura), Maryann (Chris), Jeanne, Maureen (John) and Jim (Lena). She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she adored, JuliAnn (Christopher), Tricia (Mark), Bob (Susanne), Sean (Julie), Chris, Jen, Patrick, Amanda, Ryan, Jessie, Alison, Jake, Danny, Kelly and great grandchildren Christian, Hank, Mitchell, Mckenna, Alexander, Corey, Jackson, Hudson and Archie. She will also be sadly missed by her brother Joseph Smith (Carol), her sister- in law Sandy Smith, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
