Mary A. Liptrot

The Good Lord called Mary A. Liptrot to eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 87.Born and raised in Fountain Hill, PA, Mrs. Liptrot graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1947. She then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Temple University. She has resided in Middletown Township for the past 60 years and was a founding member of Queen of the Universe parish.The Liptrot family is grateful to the many people who helped their mother in recent months including Jenna Archer for her medical skill and professionalism. Special thanks to Cristina, Jean, Carol, and all of Mary's friends at Queen of the Universe Church for their companionship, prayers and spiritual support. The family is especially grateful to Hawa Goba for her compassion, spirit and skill in comforting and caring for Mary as she completed her life journey.Mrs. Liptrot was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Mittman Fox, wife of the late William Liptrot and mother of the late Sharon Liptrot Bloom.She is survived by her three sons, Tom Liptrot, Pete Liptrot (Suzette) and Mike Liptrot (Jennifer) and grandchildren, Ellen, Bryan, Billy and Rebecca.She was the sister of Edward Fox and the late Katherine Hoffman.Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056 where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Queen of the Universe Church.
