Louis E. Hyjurick died on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Temple University Hospital. He was 73.Born in Monongahela, PA, Mr. Hyjurick had been a long time resident of Levittown before moving to Jupiter, Florida 10 years ago. He was employed with USX Fairless Works for 26 years retiring in 1984. After his retirement, Mr. Hyjurick was employed as a housing inspector at Princeton University for 15 years, retiring again in 2001.Mr. Hyjurick was a member of Queen of the Universe parish where he formerly served as an usher. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215.He was a volunteer with Mary's Cupboard, was active with the Middletown Athletic Association and was an avid fishermanBeloved husband of Ann E. (Hughes) for 54 years, Mr. Hyjurick was the loving father of George T. (Lori), Louis E. (Linda), Michael J. (Teresa) and James P. Hyjurick. He was the devoted grandfather of Bryan, Stacey, Raymond, Jeffrey, Keri, Hunter, Michael, Daniel and Kati Lynn, and the proud great grandfather of Bryan, Brooke, Lily and Allison.Son of the late George Hyjurick and Catherine Hyjurick Kostura (the late Frank), he was the brother of John Hyjurick (Judith), Marlene Burns (William) and the late Georgetta Kepcsynski and Cecilia Baker.He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary's Cupboard, 100 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054, Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056 or Temple Lung Research Center, c/o Dr. Gerald Criner, 3401 N.
