She was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a newlywed when becoming an original Levittown homeowner. There, she and her husband Gordon, raised their three children in addition to becoming foster parents to over 200 newborns and infants. There were always one or two and sometimes three babies in the house for many years.
In her free time, she was an avid knitter and loved making baby sweaters and booties. She was quite the sewer, making her own curtains and clothes for her girls when they were young. Her other hobbies were reading and painting.
She is predeceased by her parents, siblings and husband Gordon of 62 years.
Helen is survived by her 3 children, Judi (Dave) Roberts, Carol (Tom) Palmer and Glenn (Lori) Phillips; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Burial services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Washington Crossing Veterans Memorial Cemetery; 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
