Florence Buranich

With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Florence Alice Buranich (Deskevitch), 88, of Levittown, Pa, on November 19, 2022. She was a devoted and loving great-grandmother, Nana, mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched.

Florence was born April 28, 1934, in Old Forge, Pa. She was married to John Buranich for 56 years. Florence is the beloved mother to son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law, Susan, daughter Pamela; proud grandmother to Amy (Ed), Jill (Rob); and great-grandmother to Ashley, Amanda, Hailey, Michael, and Charlotte. She was Aunt Flo to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband John, her son John III, her daughter Mary, her parents Samuel and Sally, her sister Terri, and brother Stanley.

Florence lived a full life as a caring and kind person, who led by example in her generosity, compassion, and helpfulness. She enjoyed her days with her senior citizen groups, going to bingo and the casino. She lovingly spent time with her family every chance she had.

She was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Levittown, Pa. She fiercely loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her tremendously.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
