Esther A. Knouse Esther A. Knouse passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer She was 76. She was born and raised in Hazleton, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Carmen Milora whom she loved very much. She graduated from Hazelton High School Class of 1954. She also graduated from Floral Design School in Philadelphia in 1983. Esther married Robert H. Knouse 53 years ago. They came to the Philadelphia area shortly after they married and have lived in the Philadelphia area ever since. Her daughter, Debra and grandson, Matthew were an important part of her life. She loved them and spent alot of time with them. Her brother, Sam and sister-in-law, Ginny of North Carolina supported her and made her happy with their visits duirng her long battle with lung cancer. Her sister, Donna and brother-in-law Donny of Miami, FL along with cousins, nieces and nephews and plenty of friends, also supported her during her illness. Esther was a Philadelphia sports fan and she loved the Eagles no matter if they won or lost. The Phillies gave her great enjoyment. She was employed by several floral shops and enjoyed her own business, Floral Expressions in Bensalem. She loved being around people. Esther also enjoyed making trips to the casinos. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 12:00 pm at Saint Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem. Interment will be held privately. There will be no calling hours.
