Donald Patrick McGeachy Donald (Donnie) Patrick McGeachy died suddenly at his home on Saturday, December 25, 2010 after a lifelong courageous battle. He was 32 years old. Born in Princeton, NJ he was raised in Trenton, NJ until he moved with his family to Levittown in 1992. He was a 1996 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School. Throughout his life, Donnie taught us all the true meaning of strength and bravery. Anyone lucky enough to have known Donnie was at some point in their life touched by his compassion, humor and love for life. He was a true friend to many. Donnie was an adoring and devoted father. From the time his daughter was born, his life revolved around parks, Chuckie Cheese, birthday parties and many quiet nights snuggled up reading books. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anna and David McGeachy, his maternal grandparents, Herman and Alma Berry, and Dorothy Gilroy, his aunt Bonnie Rickette and his uncle, Joseph McGeachy. Along with his mother, Deborah L. (Berry) Gilroy and his father, Donald S. McGeachy and his wife, Jeanne, Donnie is survived by the light in his life and best friend, his daughter, Audrey; his brother, Kevin J. Gilroy II and his sisters, Jody T. McGeachy (Timothy Sisson), Kelly A. Baronofsky (Tom), JoAnn M. Ligato (Steve), Kristen Battershell (BJ) and step sister, Lisa Prekop. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 6:00 until 7:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 pm. Interment will take place on Friday, 11:00 am at Rosedale Memorial Park. There will be no calling hours on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to his little angel, Audrey McGeachy, in care of the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. at the above address.
