Charles F. Vogel died on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Chandler Hall, Newtown. He was 81. Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Levittown for 40 years. Mr. Vogel was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Philadelphia and the Moose Lodge in Bristol. He is a US Marine Corps veteran, having served proudly during the Korean War. Until his retirement in 1992, Mr. Vogel was a bus driver for the Pennsbury School District for over 30 years. Beloved husband of the late Olga (Adamov), Mr. Vogel was the loving father of Donna L. Ortega of Fairless Hills and the proud grandfather of Alexis and Nicholas. He also will be sadly missed by his long time companion, Janet Denfeld of Philadelphia, his sister, Virginia Goheen, his niece, Sherri Conrad and his dog, Dutchess. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, 2:00 until 4:00 pm and on Monday, 9:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held on Monday, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
