Charles J. McNaughton, Jr.Charles J. "Mac" McNaughton, Jr. died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 59.Born in Philadelphia the son of the late Barbara Ricciardi (the late Michael Ricciardi), and raised in Lewes, DE, Charles was a resident of Levittown for the past 15 years. He was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School.Charles was a mechanic at the National Guard Armory on Southampton Road, Philadelphia. He retired from the US Army National Guard in 2011 after serving over 30 years in active duty as well as a reservist.After his retirement from the military, he was then employed with Mawson and Mawson in Langhorne as a truck driver.Charles was a classic rock fan who thought good music didn't happen after 1980.. He was also a NASCAR and Frank Sinatra fan. He loved animals, especially his cats and German Shepherds.Beloved husband of 30 years to Maryann (Thomas), Charles was the loving father of Megan and Dominic (Raelynn) and the devoted grandfather of Wyatt.He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Kelly Reidy and brother Joseph McNaughton (Michele); several nieces; nephews; mother-in-law, Mary Thomas (late Raphael) and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, NewtownIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850 an organization that provides military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization.
