Barry F. Boring, Sr.

Barry F. Boring, Sr. Barry F. Boring, Sr. died on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Aria Health Bucks Campus. He was 65. Mr. Boring was born in Johnstown, the son of the late Dorothy (Smith) and Reuben Boring. He was a former resident of Philadelphia and has been a Falls Township resident for the past forty-three years. He was a 1963 graduate of Pennsbury High School and was a motor inspector with USX Steel Fairless Works for thirty-two years, retiring in 1995. Mr. Boring was a life member and former Chief Engineer of the Fairless Hills Volunteer Fire Company. Father of the late Tammy Boring and grandfather of the late Jacob J. Boring, Mr. Boring is the beloved husband of forty-three years to Johanna Rose (Young). He is the loving father of Susan E. Parsons (Michael) and Barry F. Boring, Jr. (Penny) of Fairless Hills and the devoted grandfather of Chrystal and Gabriel Boring. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Terry W. Boring (Peggy) of Levittown and Pam Foldes (Bill) of Penndel. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, 6:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Emilie United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions in his name be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
