Albert R. BonczykAlbert R. Bonczyk passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his home . He was 90.Born in New York, NY, Mr. Bonczyk has been a resident of Levittown since 1952. He worked in construction and helped build Levittown. He then went on to start his own construction company, Albert R. Bonczyk Contractors.He was a founding parishioner of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish where he served as an usher for many years. He also donated to many causes that were important to him, most notably to those who were less fortunate.Mr. Bonczyk loved his garden, especially his roses. He enjoyed caring for them and taking in their beauty.The most important thing to him was his family. He loved them more than anything and there was no limit as to what he would do for them.Mr. Bonczyk served proudly in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 960 and Saint Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus, Saint John Neumann Assembly.He is the loving father of the late Stephen A. "Beaver"; grandfather of the late Richard; and brother of the late Joseph.Mr. Bonczyk is the beloved husband of 64 years to Regina (Paliwoda), and the devoted father of Richard (Debbie), Barbara, Janice Kopenits (Luke), Robert (Maryann), Dorothy, Maryanne McKiney (Michael) and Catherine Crisfulla (Mario).He will also be sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren; David, Jean, Ron, Lisa, Lauren, Alexandra, Stephanie, Melissa, Robert, Sara, Mary, Julianna and Olivia; 8 great grandchildren; and brother Ted Bonczyk of Florida.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6:30 until 9:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30 am at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:00 pm at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
