Lee Edward Gholson

Funeral services for Lee Edward Gholson, 80, of Smyer will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Smyer with Rev. E. G. Lambright, officiating. Burial will be in Smyer Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Lee died on February 2, 2014 in Levelland.

He was born on June 21, 1933 in Lubbock and married Darla Jordan on December 28, 1954 and remained married for 59 years. He spent 50 years in the floor covering business. Lee enjoyed fishing and doing home projects. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Smyer, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Darla Gholson of Smyer; three sons: Randy Gholson and his wife Donna of Georgetown, Texas; Danny Gholson and Kevin Gholson and his wife, Judy all of Smyer, Texas a sister: Shirley Holt of Woodrow , a brother, James Gholson of Springtown, his grandchildren: Candace Montgomery, Dustin Gholson, Ryan Gholson, Amber Cowan, Christi Flick, Nikki Gholson, Amber Kite and his great grandchildren: Kaylee Oswald, Jordan Oswald, Aly Montgomery, Callyne Montgomery, Tessa Perez and Abbie Flick.

Lee Gholson loved his family and lived a full and productive life. He would do anything for anyone and was loved by neighbors and friends.
