Danny J. Dorman

Danny James Dorman was born on August 26, 1957, in Plainview, TX, to Levi and Velma Dorman. Danny passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Saturday, February 17, 2018, after battling years of illness. He is preceded in death by his father Levi Dorman; mother Velma Dorman; and son Charlie James. He is survived by his daughter Shonda and husband Robert Hill of Lavon, TX; Lisa Brown of Shallowater; Rodney and wife Jamey Kirkland of Smyer; and Coty Dorman of Portland, OR. He was the proud grandfather of Mason and Madison Hill; Rylan Brown; Ell and Brody Kirkland; and his granddogs. He also leaves behind two sisters, Bonnie Dorman-Knoblauch and Cindy Fagin and husband Wayne; and many other family members and friends. Danny had a love for farming and enjoyed motorcycle riding, trout fishing, and taking his beloved dog for a ride. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm at George Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 10am at First Baptist Church in Smyer, TX, with Pastor E.G. Lambright officiating. Interment will follow at the Smyer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the compassionate care of George Price Funeral Home.
