William “Gary” Mooney, age 66 of Lenoir, passed away at home along side his loving family on Friday morning at 9:46 am. He was born Friday, May 4, 1956 to the late Cora Tolbert and William Cecil Mooney, in Caldwell County.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Clifton and Larry Mooney.
Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Mooney. Sons Lance Mooney and Ryan Mooney (wife Therese). Daughters Crystal Patterson (husband Janarro), and Ashley Mooney. Grandchildren Christian, Cameron, Lykia, Nathaniel, Kaylan Mooney, Jadon and Jalon Dabner. Brothers Dennis and Neil Mooney, sisters Trish, Linda, and Wanda, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Gary, will be remembered for being a beloved husband and loving father, out spoke and full of humor. Gary loved the Lord and spent time spreading the word of God, so everyone could come to know the love of God as well. Gary was very inspirational and loving; he would help anyone even if he did not know them.
The family would like any flowers or donations to be sent to Miracle Church for the Service.
The Mooney family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at The Miracle Church.
The Funeral Service for Gary will be held at The Miracle Church, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm with the Pastor David Allen Day officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, 2017 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC.
