Reba Ruth Earp

Reba Ruth Earp, age 82 passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 while at First Health Hospice House, Pinehurst, N.C. She was born in Wilkes Co. to the late Albert Eugene Hendrix and Ina Minton Hendrix on May 1, 1942 in Ferguson, NC.

Preceding Mrs. Earp in death is her father Albert Eugene Hendrix, mother Ina Minton and sisters Ruby Jean Hendrix, Dorothy Church and brothers Clyde Hendrix and Isaac Hendrix.

Those left to cherish Reba's memory include her daughter Karen Helms (Tim), son Gary Hendrix and granddaughter Maegan Plank (Tyler), brothers, Charlie Hendrix (Sharon), James Hendrix (Connie), Junior Hendrix (Joan), Cleo Hendrix (Helen), sisters, Donna Thomas and Joann Church.

Reba was employed for a number of years at various furniture manufacturers in Caldwell County, including Thomasville Furniture and Bernhardt Furniture. She also worked at Yokefellow of Caldwell Co. for many years and was instrumental in providing clothing, food and assistance to families and individuals in need in the area.

A funeral service to honor Reba's memory will be held at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home's chapel on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Brandon Thomas officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Ferguson, NC.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
