Minnie Williams

Minnie “Juanita” Williams, age 84, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was born the daughter of the late Cecil Coffey and Dovie Matheson Coffey on May 26, 1933 in Watauga County, NC.

Juanita was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Juanita will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by three siblings, Celia Melvin, Mary Jean Staley, and Burl Coffey; a son-in-law, Jerry Benge; a grandson, Christopher Lowrance.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include four sons, Claude Lowrance (Carolyn), Ray Lowrance (Becky), Darrell Lowrance and Fred Lowrance (Susie); six daughters, , Frances Porter (Thomas), Karen Lowrance (fiancé Ken Haney), Clara Benge, Freida Lowman and Lisa Grant (Tim) and Carol Hass (Terry). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 1 great – great grandchild along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Pisgah Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Munson and Pastor Ronnie Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
