Scott attended West Caldwell High School after which he began a career in construction. He was an avid NASCAR and football fan and also enjoyed watching “Gunsmoke” with his mother. He made many memories with his brothers and sisters at Wilson’s Creek and the beach. Scott and his beautiful smile will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Scott is survived by his mother, Joann Cannon (friend Eddie Johnson); two sisters, DonnaRae Ford (husband David Phillips) and Paula Braswell Carlton (husband Donny); nephew, Joshua Ford; aunt, Emma Franklin; cousins LeeAnn Freeman (husband Dean) and Zachary Freeman (wife Sarah); sister-in-law, Phyllis Shatley Braswell.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Landon Braswell; two brothers, Kenneth Edward Ford and Michael Landon Braswell; grandmother, Chloma Yount and uncle, Lee Franklin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Pendry’s Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Loved ones or friends wishing to share a memory about Scott are invited to do so.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Caldwell County Animal Shelter.
