James Albert Greer Jr.

He served in the Korean War in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Greer of 52 years; his brothers James W. Greer and John Carrol Greer; and his sister Annie Lee Hendrick.

Left to cherish his memory are his children James Ronald Greer (Harriet) and Lizabeth Juwan Tygart (Daniel); his sisters Dannie Kidd and Alice Watson; his brother David Greer (Pat); his 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Living Hope Church, 1890 Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Living Hope Church with Pastor Keith Gilliam officiating.

Burial will follow at Bollinger Family Cemetery in Hudson with military honors.
