Grace Smith Bradshaw

Grace Bradshaw, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at College Pines Nursing Home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to the late Linzy and Beulah Smith in Avery County on May 26, 1922. She was a member of Hartland Missionary Methodist Church. Grace will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

Along with her parents Grace is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ira Raymond Bradshaw, brother; Albert Smith, sisters; Dorothy Smith Gryder, Edith Smith Green, Sudie Smith, Beatrice Smith Spangler, and Maxine Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Martha Helton and son-in-law, Richard Helton of Apex, brothers; John Smith and Roy Smith, sisters; Mae Smith Woodring, Ruby Smith Parlier, granddaughter, Caroline Helton, her special niece, Lois Gryder Clarke and great niece Karen Clarke Caruso and other nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hartland Missionary Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Danny Carr will be officiating the service.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Gryder, Harold Gryder, Doug Gryder, and Jerry Clark.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Helping Hands Clinic, 810 Harper Ave NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
