Georgia Setzer Oliver

Mrs. Oliver was born in Caldwell County on July 28, 2011 to the late Magruder and Fannie Taylor Setzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Oliver; one son; one grandson; three brothers; and four sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Wayne Spencer Oliver and wife, Sharon of Granite Falls, Mikel Oliver and wife, Linda of Granite Falls, NC; two daughters, Barbara Elmore of Lenoir, NC, and Peggy Oliver May and husband, Ervin C. of Hickory, NC; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Shuford Mills.

A funeral service for Mrs. Oliver will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Thompson, Steven Thompson, Jordan Payne, Spencer Thompson, and Broderick Baugues.
