Eva Juanita Roberts

Born May 21, 1921 in Greenwood, SC, Juanita was a daughter of the late Robert and Amanda Martin Auton. Juanita was a member of the Bethel Advent Christian Church and was a homemaker. Juanita will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved music, collecting clocks, cooking, gardening, sewing, drinking Sundrop and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Roberts; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her children, JoAnn Simmons of Lenoir, Carolyn Smith ( husband Harold) of Lenoir, Tim Roberts ( wife Karen) of Huntersville, Larry Roberts of Lenoir, Elayne Eldreth ( husband Bobby) of Lenoir and Rick Roberts (wife Linda) of Matthews; she is also survived by 54 grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Juanita’s life will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Bethel Advent Christian Church with Reverend Myron Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
