Clyde Buster Ward

Born July 9, 1927 in Watauga County, he was the son of the late Roby and Eliza Ward.

Mr. Ward work in furniture industry, paper mill company and owned and operator a chicken farm with his wife, Ruby Louise Miller Ward.

He proudly served during World War II in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Buster; one daughter, Mae; two brothers, Fred Ward and Ray Ward; three sisters, Rose Church, Cindy Jackson, and Myrtle Morgan and one granddaughter, Jessica.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruby; two sons, David Ward of Lenoir, and William “Bill” Ward of Supply, NC; one daughter, Janie Teague and husband Richard of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Richard, Darrell, Derrick, Jennifer, Justin, Clyde, Danielle, Brian and Melissa; and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pendry’s Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shew officiating. Burial will follow at Adams Cemetery in Villas, NC.
