Carl Robert Miller

Mr. Miller was born in Caldwell County on September 5, 1932 to the late Oscar J. and Bertha Hall Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Thelma Miller; one grandchild, Robert Cocke; two brothers, Boyd and Wilson Miller; and two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Clarissa Townsend.

Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Gene Robert and wife, Janelle Miller of Hickory, NC; one daughter, Juanita Cocke of Hudson, NC; three brothers, James Miller of Hudson, NC, Clyde and wife, Joann Miller of Hudson, NC and Ralph Miller of Granite Falls, NC; two sisters, Lorene and husband, Frank White of Hudson, NC and Linda and husband, Bobby Austin of Hudson, NC; three grandchildren, Micheal Rabb, Genise Rabb, Jordan and wife, Heather Watson Miller; and two great grandchildren, Jasmine Oakes and Hailee Miller.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be held at Monday, August 15, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 6:00 pm with the Reverend Ed Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
