Burt loved being a truck driver. He spent around 30 years driving for W&L, Talent, and S&W after leaving the furniture factory. He was of Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, uncle, brother, and friend.
Burt is survived by his wife of 67 years, Charlotte Rector, his sister Gladys Yount and husband Steve, special niece Brenda Waters and husband Gary, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Flora Rector, stepmother Pearl Mae Rector, and seven siblings.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at the Burke Memorial Park in the chapel mausoleum.
