Bobby Joe Hodges

Mr. Bobby Joe Hodges, 82, of Maiden passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Mr. Hodges was born May 31 1940 in Watauga County to the late Willard and Teany Rimer Hodges,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Hodges, brothers, Luther Hodges, Ken Hodges and Clyde Hodges and his step-mother, Maxine Phillips.

Bobby was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening painting and drawing.

Those left to cherish his memory included his daughters, Sandra Anderson and husband Randall of the home and Tammy Lingle of Gaffney, SC.

There are also 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Tabernacle Baptist church at 1225 29th Ave Dr NE, Hickory, NC at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Hooks officiating.

At the request of the family, please dress casually for the service.

Interment will be held privately at Buffalo Cove Baptist Church in Lenoir.
