Arlee Waters Coffey

Arlee Coffey, 74, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. She was born the daughter of the late Ollie and Cletus Waters on May 7, 1942 in Wilkes County. Arlee was a member of Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. She will be dearly missed.

Along with her parents, Arlee is preceded in death by her brother; Billy Waters, sister; Vela Mae Gragg, grandchild; PFC Joey Whitener, and great grandchild; Makayla Mikeal.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son; Mikeal Lee Powell (wife Cindy) of Granite Falls, daughters; Joann R. Jenkins (husband Jerry) of Gamewell, Teresa G. Mikeal (husband David) of Hudson, Nora Jane Garrett of Connelly Springs, Kay Griffin of Granite Falls, brothers; R.C. Waters (wife Pam) of Lenoir, J.C. Waters (wife Francis) of Lenoir, Larry Waters (wife Yvonne) of Lenoir, sister; Shirley Saunders (husband Barry) of Hudson, thirteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Arlee will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Pastors Keith Gilliam and David Crisp will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The pallbearers for the service include; Ethan Griffin, James Waters, Jeremy Powell, Nathan Sparks, Randy Waters, Richard Powell, Richard Waters, and Robert Waters.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Hudson, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
