William R Marsh

William Ray Marsh, age 86 passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023. He was born May 10, 1936 in Warrior, AL to Gus and Elizabeth Marsh. Ray attended Mortimer Jordan High School, Freed Hardeman University and The University of Montevallo where he obtained his Master's Degree in Administration. He was a teacher and vice principal in St. Clair County for many years. He was a member of the Ashville Road Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years.

Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jacklyn Renegar Terry Marsh. He is survived by his two daughters and their families, Jackie Phillips (David), Joy Chastain (Todd), grandchildren Beth Phillips, Harrison Chastain (Madison), Rachel Suddreth (Lucas) and Hailey Chastain. He had one great grandson Sheppard Dean Suddreth.

Please join us celebrating his life at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashville Road Church of Christ youth ministry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 11:00AM until 12:00PM with a private graveside service to follow.
