Susan will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, Mimi, sister, daughter, and friend to many. She attended Homewood High School and University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed a bachelors degree in nursing; continuing in a career caring for others until retiring in 2010. Susan was an avid reader who loved dogs, caring for her flowers and landscaping, but devoted most of her free time to her family that she loved dearly.
Susan was married to Scott for 42 years. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Scott and three children Lauren (Drew), Ethan (Summer), and Taylor and her four grandkids Will, Georgia Claire, Aspen, and Henry.
The family would like to express their upmost gratitude for all the love and support they have received throughout this trying and difficult journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions honoring Susan's life be directed to the Bethel Baptist Church Missions Fund at www.bethelnet.com/give then choose "Missions" in the dropdown menu.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church beginning at 5:30PM with visitation to follow after.
