One year today that we lost Bob Taylor.  A cousin, Virginia McMahon White is having her 80th birthday in March and a party is being held at her home place in College Grove, TN.  Some of the cousins are going to be there and we truly wish that Bob would be too.  He will be there in memories.  Carolyn McMahon Howard    02/19/2022

    Judy and I where both so sad, to learn of Bob’s passing. Our condolences go out to Dourna, Thomas, and Lauren. We all lost an awesome husband, father, and friend!
   Bob was a special person, his work  ethic, dedication,  sense of humor and laughter we’re both contagious and refreshing!  If you knew Bob,  it was impossible to work and be around him and not “Get Fired Up!!!  Bob and I met at Kroger, and like everyone else he met,  and worked with, became  friends.  Our friendship remained intact long after our Kroger days and I was always so proud, honored, and thankful to call him a friend.  Words really can’t describe how badly, Bob will be missed,  but he will always be remembered, for his outstanding examples, he set as a husband, father, co worker, and as a friend!

Bob was one of the first people that I met when I moved to Nashville to work in the Kroger Office. Bob was very friendly and easy to talk to for advice. He was as enthusiastic and positive a person as I have ever known. His office was near my work area and I knew he was in when I heard that booming voice. We knew when Bob was in the room with that wonderful voice of his.  He definitely got us fired up ! Bob and I worked in and around each other for the next 15 years. He was a trusted and hardworking friend. 

My wife and I never forgot that he took the  time to come visit our first baby girl (and Us) the weekend after she was born. One other good memory was when David Bennett and I asked him to come play with us on the Kroger office softball team. He arrived @ Judson Baptist Church that afternoon ready to go. He had his own bats and gear, not the norm back then in the 80’s. He had those high calf White athletic socks on and yes, he was ready to play. 

We shared many other good times  working over the years and I will truly miss him. Even though I haven’t seen him much since we both left Kroger, I know he was successful @ Red Diamond uplifting those around him and raising his family with Dourna . 

Dourna and family, may God bless you all and put his warm and loving  arms around you during these difficult days. Bob was a wonderful man and truly unforgettable.

I don’t know about everyone else, but the 2,000 max character limit to talk about Bob Taylor or anything related to him must be a typo because we know he would’ve knocked 2,000 characters out in 1 sentence with 1 breath...unlimited amount of characters aren’t even enough to describe him.  

I really do not know where to start with Bob Taylor.. too many piggly wiggly food show memories and conversations about Kroger and Red Diamond, how can you pick just 1? I didn’t know Mr. Bob for long but long enough to tell you how much he loved his job and his family. But my favorite memory of them all is when Mr. Bob asked me to stop by a new store that had just opened in Phoenix City and to take pictures of it. Well the address Bob gave me put me in the middle of nowhere so after 30 minutes of googling and driving around I finally found the store and emailed him the pictures I took and the right address while telling him how his original one puts you in front of a gravel road. He mentions something about me finding the blue vase and I said “uh I don’t think they had a blue vase for sell” later on found out that he was referring to a book called ‘the go getter’ a story of someone who did not give up no matter what obstacle was thrown at them. I say this memory not to pat myself on the back but to say thank you to Mr. Bob for being the true example of what it means to never give up and to not just find the blue vase but to be as valuable as the blue vase was in the story. I hope we can further on that legacy. 

May and I send our condolences to Dourna, Thomas, and Lauren.   Bob was a co-worker, college roommate, we were groomsmen in each other's weddings, and most of all,  he was our very dear friend.
Bob was always looking for the positives in people, and would go out of his way to recognize them for their work.  He was also a good instructor.  His favorite punch line was "Get Fired Up!"
I will miss seeing Bob at food shows, his phone calls, and the post cards he would send, just to say thanks for the call, and "I love you brother."
Prayers of celebration that Bob is at peace , no pain, and reunited with his mom and dad in heaven.  Prayers of comfort, strength, 
and healing for the family during this time.  May Bob's memories and love  go with you.      

I knew Bob from Red Diamond, but had a bond with him as an ex-Kroger employee. We always ran into each other on the weekends at the RD office. Bob was one of the hardest working individuals I have worked with. He always did what was right.  Will miss our calls to each other. Wish the family my best. God bless

Dourna, Thomas,Lauren/ Our sympathy to you all. I so loved to be around Bob, he was so uplifting to be around. I remember times when we would all be together at Macs house for a holiday or something and the joy that we all shared was second to none , I will always remember Bob lifting his collar and standing on his toes to tell us he was the leader in his house, I liked to pass out from laughter the first time he did that in front of me ,I will always cherish those times just like the times with Mac, I will miss that. 
May The Lord Bless You and keep you in His loving arms. Bob knows what It is like in Heaven now. Rest In Peace My Brother".But we do not want you to be uninformed , brethren , about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus" 1Thess.4:13-14   Peace of Christ to you!



I was very sad to hear Bob had passed on. Always enjoyed working with Bob at Kroger as well as the times our families shared in Bowling Green. Bob was always optimistic and could lift everyone’s spirit. Bob was always an inspiration to me and others because of his integrity, character, and attitude. He was simply one the most real and genuine people I have ever known and I will miss him. May God comfort you and your family in this difficult time.


I have fond memories of Bob from Kroger. He was in charge of the rest team at one time and I worked with him on several resets and grand openings. He was a wonderful man to work with.

     I am speaking on behalf of  my husband, Jim Ramsdell.  I know if he could he would tell you stories of them working together, but most importantly he would tell you how he loved and respected Bob.  I know Bob was a dear friend to Jim.
     As Jim's wife, I can tell you my heart cries out to God to comfort you and to give you strength during this time.

Mr. Taylor was a joy to be around.  With his light hearted attitude he could make even the most mundane tasks fun.  I enjoyed working with him at Kroger.  The world loss a really good man when Mr Taylor passed.  My prayers are with his family 

My deepest condolences to the Taylor family.  Proverb 18:22 says . A man that hath friends must show himself friendly. Friendly that was Bob. Bob and I worked together as Co Manager’s at Kroger. He was a good friend and coworker. We kept in touch even after Bob moved .Bob was always a gentleman, hard working, easy going, humorous guy. He loved his family. I never talked to him with out him talking about his kids ,Thomas , Lauren  grand kids and his love of his life his wife Dourna . You all have my deepest sympathy. May the Lord continue to bless each of you.

I’ve been thinking about Bob stopping by Cincinnati Children’s hospital to visit Brady, Owen & I after one of Owens surgeries. He was “in the area” along a route and made the effort to come and check on us. That was so touching and such an encouragement to us during such a scary time. Love to Dourna, Thomas and Lauren- we mourn his loss with you and pray for your strength and comfort going forward.

Was stunned to hear of Bob's passing, Cousin Lorraine let me know.  I am so, so sorry.   Wish that I knew you were not that far away, now live in Fayetteville, GA near my sister Barbara.  One of my fun memories was that Aunt Rachel called Bob "pigtail" when he was little and I remember all of them coming to Florida in the summer.

Every single time I would leave for  a big presentation Bob would call me  and wish me luck . The first person to call me once the deal was done  once again was Bob Taylor. I am not sure Bob ever understood how much his approval or excitement of how I did meant to me.  Bob was and will always be the Best relationship sales person to ever do it and I frequently tried to be more like him on each call.  Bob has his way of doing things but his way ALWAYS  worked out for the good of everyone involved.  It will never be the same to sit in a meeting, or on a call and not hear a Bob Taylor story.   If you had the opportunity to know Bob your life is better because of it... 



"My Dourna", 

My heart aches for you and your family.   Christjan and I offer our condolences .  We are here when you need us.  

I was cleaning out a cabinet  in the kitchen one day ...there tucked away behind a can of coffee was a handwritten note, once folded,  signed by  Bob,  telling our family that  he loved us....short, simple. sweet.  Powerful...that was Bob; brilliantly silent.   I am certain it was stashed during one of the UK games our families watched  together!   He will always be loved and missed  by the McIntoshs'...He and Papa together again!!   

I enjoyed conversations with Bob.  He was always positive and good spirited.  Bob wrote the nicest notes thanking me for doing what was simply my job.  He encouraged me and everyone around him to be better or at the least happy and appreciated for doing a job well.  The loss is huge and he will be greatly missed.  

Dourna, Thomas and Lauren,  Bob was such a great example  of strength, courage, as well as positive attitudes.  His dedication to family is such a great example to men. He was rare! 
Bob talked the talk and walked the walk. He loved his family very well: our parents 
taught us this life-lesson.

So sad to hear about Bob. He was always so nice to me when I was a kid. Even let me play with his race track.  I always called him "my cute cousin". Hugs to his family.
