James "J.C." Calvin Allen

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pat Allen; children Steve (Debbie) Allen, Scott (Suzann) Allen, and Felicia (Marty) Smith; grandchildren Steven Allen and family, Peyton (Haley) Allen, Sarah Anne (Daniel) Owen, Beth Allen Smith and Micah Smith; and great grandchild, Gracie Allen.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carrie and Noah Allen; brother, Charles Allen, and sisters, Helon Baldone and Bert Stewart.

J.C.’s name was added to the Lamb’s Book of Life in 1975. He was a longtime member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Center Point and a current member of Bethel Baptist Church, Moody. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 12:30-2:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM, led by Pastor Josh Burnham at Bethel Baptist Church, Moody. A private family graveside service will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Pallbearers are Peyton Allen, Micah Smith, Daniel Owen, Austin Knight, Bud Jackson and Trent Jackson.

The family would like to express their gratitude to nurse Jonathan Sisson with Affinity Hospice and his two very special caregivers Connie Jackson and Cynthia Thomas.
