James "Buddy" Evans Adair, 87, of Leeds, AL passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He served in the Air Force from 1954-1958; Air National Reserve for 5 years and a hard worker over 35 years with Coca Cola Inc. of Atlanta and Houston Maryland Club Coffee Division while receiving numerous awards and special recognitions. He was a member of the Leeds Masonic Lodge and Zamora Shrine. Buddy was instrumental in the building of the Leeds Veterans Park where he spent countless hours. He loved his country and it's veterans. He loved fishing and playing his music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jason Clifton Adair and Fairy Louise Adair, one brother and 4 sisters.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Staggs Adair; children, Julia Carter (Rodney), Cindy Harden (Chuck), Jimmy Adair (Tina), and Jennifer Gillespie (Brett); 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren brother, Joe Adair and sisters, Janice Franklin, Sue Hollis and Cathy Sanders.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 12:00PM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 1:00PM with burial to follow at Forest Crest.
