Herman Brasher

Herman Paul Brasher, age 81, of Irondale, Alabama, passed away October 16, 2022, after a brief illness. Born in Vandiver, Alabama on August 26, 1941, he graduated from Leeds High School and attended Auburn University. He worked at American Cast Iron Pipe Company as a supervisor and retired after fifty years of service. He was an active member of The Church at Grantsmill and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. Herman was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Ethel (Partridge) Brasher and his sisters, Jeanelle Bowman and Jeanette Bowman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lucy (Smith) Brasher; his children Allison (Morris) Kay, Eric Brasher, and Brad (Cynthia) Brasher. He is also survived by his grandchildren Justin Kay, Savannah Kay, Tre Smith, Eli Brasher, and Wilder Brasher as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and in-laws. Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with the service to begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel. The graveside service will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Leeds immediately following.
