Gladys Alene Rooks

Gladys Rooks, was 84 years old and passed away in Grand Junction, Colorado on Friday, January 4th while visiting with all her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter at her sons house. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 26th 1928.

She is survived by her son Dr. Michael Rooks, son-in-law and daughter Jeff and Kathy Bishop. grand-son-in-laws and granddaughters Mark and Jennifer Owen, James and Leslie Moody, great granddaughter Lily Ann Moody, and sister Geraldine Muncher.

She loved her family and being with them and they loved her and being with her.

Gladys lived in Leeds, Alabama since 1945.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Leeds, Alabama since 1957.

She retired from United Chair in 1991.

Gladys Rooks will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 10th from 6-8 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama.

The funeral will be at 2 o'clock on Friday, January 11th at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
