Freddie James Oliver, 90, of Riverside, passed away on December 13, 2024. He was born on December 13, 1934, and is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Betty; his daughters, Barbara Messick (Wayne) and Vicky Hager (Donald); son Rick Oliver (Tam); seven grandchildren, John Oliver (Kim), Amanda Johnson, Valerie Crosby (T.J.), Richard Oliver (Laine), Brittany Kasprak (Aaron), Richard Hager (Josie), and Jordan Herron (Ryan); twelve great grandchildren; and his sisters, Mary Looney, Doris West, and Peggy Brookman.
Mr. Oliver served God in the ministry for the Church of God of Prophecy for forty-nine and a half years. He also worked as a hair stylist for over forty-eight years.
Funeral services will be held on December 19, 2024, at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville.
