December 11, 1930 - June 30, 2024
It is with great sadness that the Scheetz family announces the peaceful passing of Arnold
Scheetz, who went to be with his Lord.
Arnold is survived by his brothers: Ewald (Bernie), Norman, Wilf (Kathy); sisters-in-law:
Hertha & Carole, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his step
children Marvyn, Gerald and Glenda.
Arnold is also survived by his best friend Smokey the Cat.
Arnold was predeceased by his wife Elsie; father Julius, mother Marie, Stepmother Esther;
sister Hertha (Sam), brothers: Edward (Adeline), Alfred (Dolores) Alvin and Roland; and sister-in-law, Linda.
Arnold farmed in the Thorsby area all of his adult life and developed a prime farmstead with his
wife Elsie of 45 years. They also enjoyed gardening, cutting grass and even found time to
travel.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Leduc General Hospital and St Joseph’s
Auxiliary for their special care and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel 4802 – 47 Avenue, Leduc, AB.
Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Glenwood Memorial Gardens 52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park, AB
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM, on Saturday, July 13 2024 in St. Matthews Lutheran Church, in Thorsby, AB.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leduc Hospital Foundation, St
Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, dementia research, the greater Edmonton animal rescue or the
charity of your choice.
